ISDN Switch Off

The Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) will reach the end of it's life in January 2027.

Any single analogue Lines, Multi-Lines, ISDN2 and ISDN30 services will need to move to alternatives, prior to this date.

The Switch Off will also impact broadband customers. ADSL and FTTC broadband services supported by Single Analogue Lines will need to migrate.

The team at Croft are here to help you migrate to a future proof technology without the fear.

The background

The Public Switch Telephone Network (PSTN) will close by January 2027.

By then, every phone line in the UK will have moved to a fully digital network that uses Internet Protocol (IP) across a fibre-based service.

This won’t just affect voice services, it may also mean you need to upgrade your broadband.

Any equipment that currently uses the PSTN will stop working: alarms, EPOS machines, door entry systems, CCTV, faxes, and so on.

The Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) will also stop working.
